    OK to give our American chums a chance, who is this and what did he have two of ?
    Thomas Custer, he had two brothers killed at the Little Big Horn. He also had two Medals of Honor.

    Oh...and I know who John Chard was, I just didn't hit the site in time to answer it. So there. :D

    This picture shows the site of a battle in North America in the early 19th century. One of the soldiers in that battle, a lieutenant, was wounded in the upper thigh as he dismounted a breastwork that his unit was assaulting. Several years after the war, the lieutenant became a leading figure in a war with Mexico.

    Name the pictured battlefield and the lieutenant.
