Wondering if there are any Garmin GPS experts that could lend a hand using the 'coordinates' icon on the Garmin 1370. Here is where I get stuck: From a wikipedia search on the village of Moerkerke it shows coordinates of N51 14 583 E3 20.404 I can program the N numbers but it will not allow me to enter the E numbers. It stops at the last zero. I then went to Maps and Utilities for the PC, Mac, iPhone, iPod touch and Smartphones and searched for the Groesbeek Canadian Military Cemetery. The latitude and longitude point shows 51.798311, 5.931878. Neither number can be entered in to the GPS unit as the N,E,S,W letters are always the first showing in the coordinates bar. Thanks in advance for any assistance, Randy
Randy I think that there's a CWGC POI for the Garmin that can be downloaded from the attached War Cemeteries for Tomtom and Garmin POI - Great War Forum This will give you all the CWGC sites John
John, Many thanks for the link. I still have an issue in that the device is asking for degrees, minutes and seconds. The three available formats on the device will not allow me to enter the coordinates shown on the excel spreadsheet. IE Moro River Canadian War Cemetery is shown as 14.41678, 42.33623. No way to enter these numbers. Thanks again for the link. I still have a couple of weeks to sort this out. Cheers randy
Randy The coordinates for Groesbeek is shown on the CWGC site as N 51 47 52 E 05 55 51. (see attached from CWGC Cemetery search - shown in degrees, minutes, seconds) On another site it said about using grid coordinates on the Garmin to truncate the grid reference to fit if necessary John

John, Many thanks...I will try those coordinates. Looks like the Tom Tom devices are more lat and long point friendly. I will search for Holten and Bergen Op Zoom as they are on my list as well. Randy
Hi Randy, I downloaded the info for CWGC POI on my TomTom last year and it worked perfectly. I could not insert co-ordinates either. The POI download takes all this out of the equation. I went to backwood village cemeteries all over the West and North of Paris and it took me to the "Cemetery Gates" on every occasion. Just be sure that when you are entering info in Canada for Europe, you change your present position to the position of the info you are entering. (Make sense?) Cheers Geoff
Hi Randy, Forgot to add the link. http://www.ww2talk.com/forum/war-cemeteries-war-memorial-research/30119-tomtom-satnav-cwgc-download.html#post335781 Cheers Geoff
Geoff, G'day John's coordinates of the three main cemeteries will still not work in the GPS. So, perhaps I have to be in Europe to enter in one of the three formats. Perhaps the issue will be solved once I download the POI. I will be calling Garmin Customer Service on Monday as there are memorials on my list of things to see. I have not forgotten about your photo requests for Winnipeg and Montreal. Can you PM me with the names and locations. Cheers Randy
