Dear all, My dad Gareth Hugh Davies was a member of 285 Field Park company throughout the war. His number was 1907844 Originally from Sketty Swansea I presume as he was a sign writer before the war he may well of carry out such work for the company. Dad died in 1975 aged 75,he did not talk much about the war however I do know that two of his mates died forging a river, sadly I do not know which river or when. When the Germans broke through in the Ardennes he was posted to lay dynamite charges on roads and bridges. I also know that the company and the division were posted in Northern Island for about two years. I am very interested in Wizards photo, I have very few photos of dad at war, he must be in the picture and I would be very grateful if somehow I could get a copy. Kind Regards Richard Hugh Davies
Hello Richard and welcome to the forum. Is this the thread you are referring to? http://ww2talk.com/forums/topic/14223-royal-enginneer-joseph-osborne/#entry159495 Wizard (now Koko) hasn't been on the forum since July 2010. You could try sending him a PM (private message) or maybe one of the Moderators can help you. Good luck with your research. Lesley
