G.H. Wilkinson - Ville d'Argenton 50th Medal

Bit of a long shot this....

I have a medallion issued by the Ville d'Argenton in Normandy to visiting veterans during the 50th Anniversary events of 1994. It is named to G.H. Wilkinson, and it would be nice to find out who
he was and what unit he was with.

Although Argentan was liberated by US troops, as far as I know such medals were given to veterans
who were regular visitors to the town in post-war years, so he might not have been from the US....

Told you it was a long shot !
