I went for Mel Brooks and Bob Mortimer , but there's quite a bit of History on there.

N Davies-Williams Gerald's War: The true and tragic tale of one man's life in peace and war .
The story is a novel, about the RAF service of Gerald Davies, the author's uncle.

Just released on Amazon as Kindle, PB (rapid del thanks to POD) and HB.

Davies joined the RAF in 1936 as an AC2, trained as an armourer, then as an Observer, and by 1940 had been commissioned Pilot Officer Observer and posted to the Middle East for service in Egypt and Greece. He badly wanted to be a pilot, and had been twice recommended for training. KIA 13 April 1941, on an unescorted daylight 6-aircraft sortie by 211 Sqn Blenheims, all destroyed by the Luftwaffe with just 2 survivors on the day. He had by then about 70 Blenheim I ops to his credit, as Observer to 211 Sqn CO Gordon-Finlayson DSO DFC, with P/O Arthur Geary DFC in the turret. Irvine, the new CO, Davies as Observer, and Geary as WOp/AG were all killed.

The author's long toil in finding a great many original records, all included in the book, is highly creditable.
On this framework he has aimed to create a life for Gerry Davies, in highly fictionalised form. This he is careful to explain, from start to finish.
His aim was to create a readable memorial memoir of the service life of a cherished relative in World War 2 and in this the book succeeds.
Historical purists will find much to shake their heads or wag their fingers over, but in compiling his information the author can hardly be faulted, nor in the sincerity of his highly fictional account.

My above post is about a book, an e-book on Amazon.

So not an excuse to bignote self/own work. Should however mention that I've known Nigel since 2001, off and on. He's a good bloke.

And my page for Observer P/O G Davies 44072 RAF is here on my 211 Squadron site
G Davies ... my own work from info supplied by family, and from own research.

I had not realised how brief the edit window is here.

I believe (long time since I set it up) now you've hit ten posts, you should find the edit window pretty much infinite now.
(Might be 15, but I'll knock you onto the full status if so.)
    Cheers,
