Found Today British spoon with personal Number !!!

    Of course, we want to see everything !

    Where are you finding these in relation to the supposed location of the front line ?

    The GS buttons are quite likely to have come from greatcoats. They are well known for losing them.

    Ok next time i make tommorow one topic with founds from last 5 days :)

    this ist the place where I found this items (demandest front) . The german wehrmacht after battle report say in this area was the black watch regiment :confused:

    I look forward to seeing more (and why restrict it to the last five days ?;) .

    As I understand it from various war diaries, there were regular raids by both sides on the opposing lines and these involved going out unseen through the wire. The units involved should certainly have removed any identification from their uniforms before doing this so it is unlikey that these badges and buttons were lost then.

    My suspicion remains that they relate to the reinforcement of the line during the winter and spring of 1940.

    last five days because i search british militaria for 2 weeks , but not every day .

    in the forest had been strong british base , the germans attack this wood on 13-14 May 1940 but have not taken .

    The Egypt button could possibly be a 4th Cameron one. As I posted on another thread, attached map and short bit of info re the wood.
