Deacs Well i am from Cumbria.

    Hi Clive,

Cheers for these and fortunately Sidney's service records are on Ancestry.

Sidney was injured on the 1,7,1916 as we know the Battle of the Somme to a gun shot wound to the left thigh.
He was admitted to Cambridge hospital Aldershot on the 6.7.1916. After an xray his left femur was diagnosed broken due to the GSW and he wasn't very well. On the 20th a secondary hemorrhage occurred and unfortunately on the 21st he died at 11.51 just can't tell if it's PM or AM due to septicemia.

Walter seems to have died from wounds but this is a guess as Ancestry says he died in Gallipoli ?
So maybe he was shipped home then died from his wounds he received in Gallipoli.

He was wounded at Gallipoli I've looked through my files and he is listed as wounded but no date, but looking at one of the other chaps who died of wounds on the list he died on the 10,9.1915. a pte.T.Ormerod.Casualty

Cheers Clive Spike says a big thanks for the photo for James he'll add it to his site.

I don't have anything on him I'm afraid the only thing I can add is that the 8th Bn attacked the Somme on the 3rd July where they sustained 4 Officers killed and 10 wounded , and 430 casualty's of other ranks.

    Mike.
