    My uncle, who flew Lancasters in 428 Squadron, Middleton St. George, received this letter in February 1945. He was at #82 O.T.U. at the time and didn't fly his first op until April 1945.
    The letter was from a hometown friend from Brampton Ontario, who was killed in a flying accident the day after the letter was written. Age 22. A loss that apparently haunted him for many years.
