When I'm trying to add a file it says that I don't have a token or something and I need to contact the system administrator? how do I do that?

Usually means the file size of the image is too big for the forum software to handle.
Please try resizing the image you wish to upload.

:confused:Oh Owen I'm hving a mare. I don't know how to resize. I have literally put the documents in the scanner and clicked to copy. I don't recall having this problem when I uploaded the photos previously.

Here you Go, Karen - not sure I've got the order right - left 'em as sent.
Teeny bit of adjustment, hopefully to help with clarity.:

    Great job VP!

Karen-great to see your Grandfathers full records. He certainly saw action in different places.
Forum members will be along soon to help decipher them if you need any help, and should be able to give you more details on the theatres of war he was in.

I'm trying to work on the first unit and the BEF link but can't figure it out-I certainly can't find a J Coy RE in 1940 France.

Is the line under the BEF entry blank or has it faded?

Looks like he was attached to GHQ RASC (The actual file is GHQ CRASC) but like many BEF diaries it finishes before he arrived in France. Many files were either destroyed or lost during the retreat.

There is a line underneath but I only have photocopies (original is with my parents). I can't read from my photocopy what is says. There is something printed there I will come back to you.

    thank you

Hi Karen I will try scan the paper it was hand written by the late Norman Steed, Looks like he had made a note of the men he served with also a few photos they were given to me by Normans partner she also gave me his pay book and a few of his items. We made contact though the Desert Rats Memorial Association. Father has also written a book just for family on one page he talks about being invited for lunch and to bring a friend. Quote" I asked Taffy he was a nice quiet little chap and he wouldn't let me down. I will also try scan this page. email would be good.
