Neither seen nor heard of, but shall now be keeping an eye out for. Looks promising.

I watched it the other night - already available on dvd from Amazon. It is a very well made film, although a little dark in terms of the subject matter. Considering it is a true story it just shows how chaotic it was in the last weeks of the war for this to of happened.
The Emsland Camps had a long history in the Third Reich, being set up in the early days of the regime as Concentration Camps before being used as prison camps.

On the dvd you have the option to watch the film in colour or B&W.

Mrs bought it in Tescos today.
Youngest watched it this evening, said ''the ending was a bit wierd.''
I will watch it one morning this week.

I have a feeling they are referring to the end credits which has the characters in a modern German city street.

It has nothing to do with the film itself.

Blimey, what a grim 2 hours that was this morning.

Apart from a few killed by the British I've never seen a film where so many Germans were killed by their fellow countrymen.
