Hello. Last night I posted a copy of 'Farewell Singapore' by Miles Arrindell in WW2Talk's 'Documents & Diaries' forum and thought i'd post a link to it here lest it go unnoticed.

Lt. Arrindell of the 4th Btn., 4th Suffolk Rgt., 18th East Anglian Div., wrote this, his own account of his passage to Singapore, his arrival there shortly before its surrender, his escape to Sumatra by sampan on the 15th February, 1942 and then to Ceylon and India.
Later, Lt. Arrindell fought in Burma with the 2nd Suffolk Btn., part of the 5th Indian Division.

A typed copy of 'Farewell Singapore' was given to me some years ago by my late friend, Frank 'Lucky' Goff, and had been given to him by the author, his late friend, Miles Arrindell. I hope it is of interest and use to others.

Much appreciated - have downloaded for a Sunday read.
Unread or scarcely read accounts are a crying shame.
