You'd only need an email address for a FB account with a link to the forum, maybe there is a way of disabling the leaving of messages so that you wouldn't have anything to moderate. WW2Talk would get 'liked' (hopefully) by others with WW2 as an interest?

'Recce' is such an unusual first name. Never set up a Facebook 'page' before (well, one that wasn't just trolling and eventually neglected ). Lord they're pushy about trying to get you to install apps and do paid promotion when they think you're an organisation ~ anyone would think they were a vast advertising network... Post reach is interesting though. C.60 members and a potential audience of 400+ via shares etc Not yet sue how it's calculated, but could be a decent way of encouraging a few more bods to join
I'm currently posting random 8th May WW2 war diary entries from units serving all around the world on the forums Facebook page. One entry shows a unit discovering a secret weapon on VE Day and another from the Far East shows they were promised a beer each.....They never got it!
