I watched the Eurovision song contest. France were the only country who refused to speak English and got 2 points, Ukraine voted for Russia (As did Greece but they want to keep their money) and a bearded lady from Austria won. We lost, never in the running!!!!! Just about sums it up. I promise l will never watch it again. Anonymous
You bloody fool. When oh when will people begin to listen to the HSE's perfectly reasonable advice about avoiding this stuff.
Anyone catch Poland's entry I don't think they were trying to win with their singing, I quite liked Malta for the song but what do I know!

Anyone watching this ? Eurovision's Greatest Hits http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p02n77lt Just put it on after watching Springwatch Easter special
I like the 2016 French entry, "J’ai cherché" sung by Amir, a little. There is a little story to the video and it gives me the impression of "Billy Elliott" meets "Chariots of Fire". It's in French with an English chorus. Wish we could have Sir Terry Wogan back doing the commentary. He was the real treasure of Eurovision.
Well, at least Ukraine's winning Eurovision song of 2016 had a WW2 theme (the deportation of Crimean Tartars in 1944 by the Soviet Union under Josef Stalin): http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-36295168
Quality tongue-in-cheek entertainment and won by a song called 1944 - what's not to like? Makes me proud to be European (though I don't understand why they invited the Australians).
Oh dear I missed it......... I was playing in a Concert. The venue was packed nearly all escaping Eurovision, me thinks haha. David
Stopped watching this about 20 years ago. They all thought FIFA was corrupt but this lot could even teach it a trick or two. As for inviting Australia, firstly Europe may be needing new members soon, and secondly could be a nice trip to compete next year had they won it.
