    good day cl1.m.yesterday,06:10pm,re:ERNEST BEVIN,a fine man.he did a great job under difficult conditions and regardless of your politics he made the civilian labour force a mighty war machine.to back up our forces.may he rest in peace.regards bernard85 :poppy: :poppy:

    There's a Bevin Boys memorial in Chatterley Whitfield Heritage Park, Stoke-on-Trent. Many of the colliery buildings, in the distance, are still standing, although it closed a few years ago, and there are guided surface tours on Heritage Weekend every September.
