Over the the years my bookmarks of infantry memoirs online has grown rather long. Attempts to find more memoirs from artillerymen and engineers has yielded few results. One source I have been using for years but never searched for personal experiences other than infantry are the student papers from the US Army Infantry School at Fort Benning, Georgia. There happens to be three papers from officers assigned to engineer battalions during the war. https://www.benning.army.mil/library/content/Virtual/Donovanpapers/wwii/index.htm For illustrating how the divisional engineers worked with the infantry in Normandy, I found this paper from an officer of the 308th Engineer Combat Battalion of the 83d Infantry Division. Since this paper was missing its original maps and I put some effort into piecing together two maps (deskew and size matching), I wanted to post it for others who might be interested. The source maps (circa 1950) came from the webmaster of the 83d Division website. http://83rdinfdivdocs.org/
