    Hi

Does anyone have any knowledge of any internal transfers from the DLI to the Wiltshire Regiment in 1944. My ancestor Albert Cooper served with the General Service Corps, then the Durham Light Infantry and lastly the 5th Battalion Wiltshire Regiment. His service number for Wiltshire was 14705478, would this have changed? He did not get promoted. I have sent off for his service record.

14705478 is the number they gave him when he joined the GSC.
    He would keep it.
