We then went up to the Dunkirk Museum. I had never been here before, and this is the only photo I took, as we had a meeting with them and I had other things to do! Thought it was an excellent little museum, with some great material in it.

 

West Mole looking towards the East Mole (most of the original of which disappeared in a storm in the 50s).

 

West Mole - many French soldiers were evacuated from here.

 

Later German concrete structure close to the West Mole - E Boat pen?

 

We then ended the day at the Dunkirk Town Cemetery and Memorial.

I think, ive just added another location to my shortlist for next year, or may be the year after

excellent pics, Paul. It's certainly an area that I've fallen in love with over the last few years (though I've always liked it) and one which constantly draws me back (back there again in 3 weeks for a couple of days , and then again in 6 weeks!).
