    On the back of the photo it says La Panne. POWs and French tanks with a number 8 on the side.

    Beach area with the French ship L,Adroit in the background. Morris PU has aos 35 [ 6 AA Regiment RA ]. There is a faint sign on the door.

    Probably the last photo taken of the ill-fated SS Abukir in Ostende.

    The 5/31 is a reference, rather than the date. As it sunk 84 years ago tomorrow night...

    More photos in my collection that came with the photos in the last few listings.of the 1940 photos.
    Not 100% they are 1940 and have no info on them. Must be some officers in the photos.
    Any info on them would be welcome. First photo. One on the right looks to be LW [Air force] The guy on the far right might be [ss]?. Don't know the guys in the middle.

    I'm not an expert and I may be in error but, by the look of their uniforms, it seems to me the 'guys in the middle' of the first picture belong to the NSDAP (Nazi Party). By the look of their collar patches, they seem to be high-ranking officials (Gauleiters - District Leaders). I have no idea as to the identity of those gangsters though.
