I am looking for any information on the medal (?) awarded for Dunkirk in 1940... qualifications, why it was awarded etc.

It was first made available to veterans of the dunkirk evacuation and later administered by the now disbanded Dunkirk Veterans association. You can get a copy of this medal from award productions. The original came with a certificate, and these can fetch £50-60. I hope this helps James
