I apologise if this has been covered elsewhere (I did do a search before posting). I'm interested in finding out more about Donnington Camp during the Second War but there seems to be precious little information and what there is is quite fragmented. This is where my parents met in 1943. My father was a Staff Sergeant in the REME and was posted here between March and September 1943, before being sent to India. He told me that he was supervising ATS girls assigned to REME work. My mother was in the ATS and sent to Donnington in November 1942, initially as a 'Storewoman (REME)' and subsequently as a 'Fitter (REME)'. She was initially in 7th Company then reassigned to 6th Company (re-designated G Company). She also worked in 'No. 4 Central Workshops (REME)'.

At the moment, none of this makes a lot of sense to me because I can't get a picture in my mind of what COD Donnington Group looked like or how it was organised at that time. I just wondered if anyone could give me ANY information of the structure of the camp, the workshops, a map, etc. Very grateful for ANY help, thanks.
