War diary 1st Btn Royal Fusiliers Sports Meeting Foligno July 1944 As expected there were inter unit football games, relay and obstacle races etc. However, I was quite surprised to see a 'Dog Race - handicapping arranged on ground before start. Dirty dogs will be given every advantage' ! Somehow or other I do not think that dogs actually took part. Can anyone enlighten me?
