You're never too old to wargame - read some of the classic wargame books of the 70s and 80s to see that!

I used to when I was younger. I had a unit based on the Matchbox ANZACs. Beautiful little models.I used them with my own rules as a British platoon in Burma. I called them "The Wessex Rifles". Had hours of fun. Even kept a War diary for them with names, promotions , casualties, replacements etc. That was before I knew real units kept war diaries. I wish I'd kept the models and the diaries. it would be fun to look back on them.
What is strange now is the new unit to be created in the modern British Army of west country units is to be called THE RIFLES. I thought of that 26 years ago!

1:72 are good because most of the time, you can get alot cheap. Plus you can make HUGE dioramas if you dont feel like playing, or if your bored you can play godzilla with them it you have anything else lying around
