Someone can help me? I'm searching documents, maps or newspaper articles about battle of Torriana (Italy). I Know that, in the months of September/october 1944, the 1/9 Gurkha Rifles fought for many days, losing many men.

    Thanks a lot

Beardrak you night find that 1/9th gurkhas were part of 4th Indian Div nd took fair beating on Hangmans hill at Cassino in the third battle - then had a rest near the Adriatic and came back for the big battle at Croce /Gemmano- as well as San Marino..so google for "Gemmano" and this will give you an idea at what went on eat that time
    Cheers

then without trying to teach you how to suck eggs - about the assault on your hometown by the 4th Indian Div - you might try the war diary of that famous division for more precise references, maps or descriptions as many of us there at that time were too busy to bother about the little details - so we left that to the historians
    Cheers
