    Hi all
A query regarding the Diver strip (AA defence against V1's) - does anyone have a definition of a 'Welter' site or 'Welter' guns.
From what I can gather, Diver batteries (at least in Suffolk) were of three types:
    HAA Sites (4 X 3.7" Mk II C)
    Welter Sites (2 X 3.7" Mk II C and 8 to 11 40mm guns)
    LAA Sites (4 X 40mm guns)
Also the predictors for the HAA (3.7 " Guns) Batteries were AA No 10 while those for the Welter Sites (3.7" Guns) were RO3 - is there much difference in these?
    Thanks
    Dave

Have you tried Colin Dobinson's book - just a thought?

No mention of it. I've looked in all of my AA reference books, found nothing.
