Anyone see the representive of the British Muslim Council and the Pakistan Ambassador lay a wreath each on the London Cenotaph this morning?

    I did.

Sure did. Do you think they were laying the wreath in memory of those many thousands they have blown up around the world?....

No, the thousands that died fighting for this country.

Islam is also the official religion of Malaysia, Bangladesh and The Maldives, all of which countries were also represented at the Cenotaph.

I noticed that the only country on the Cenotaph that was not represented today was Zimbabwe former Rhodesia.

    A very fair point.
IMO those who are the subject of this thread were not represented at this mornings act of remembrance - they represented themselves a few days before and therein lies the difference.

I don't really have anything more to say in respect of those individuals who are the subject of this thread and I make a very distinct difference between them and the dead being remembered today.

Perhaps it is time to leave this one and move on ?

    All speak at our Cenotaph.

I have not a religious bone in my body, but their witness to the War Dead spoke 1000 times more eloquently than the 30-odd loonies that triggered the wave of outrage this thread rests on, or those that might choose, innocently or intentionally, to add to the hate following their rather poor 'protest'.

They've made me decide, particularly on this day, that if anyone wants to actively condemn ANY entire religious group in relation to remembrance (this thread nominally being about a disrupted remembrance service) based on the actions of just a few protestors, who happen to claim a shared faith... They can take it to St**mfront.

    Thread dead.
So I'll end with a hopeful image:
