Rewarding task to recover the dead and give them dignified resting places.

Incidentally can you illustrate a map to indicate the area where your work is being undertaken?

An interesting note regarding the missing in the Sudetenland.I would have thought that the casualty would have been recorded on the VDKG Kassel database possibly as an unknown.

Thank you all for your appreciation!

Harry, the map Stefan posted shows approx. where we dig - there's further info in the presentation posted somewhere above.
What missing do you mean, by the way? Have I missed something?

...I must have been very tired yesterday, forgot to post the link to the Panther Battalion book.
It's in German and English - and a great piece of research!

Finally the website has been updated as well (not the English version though, sorry).
It's worth a look, especially because we were supported by, well, a professional drone operator, who took some amazing pictures. There's also a short clip from a Russian news report.
    You'll find it all here.

I think no specific plans at the moment, but generally yes. We've been there (though that was before my time). Do you have any suggestions?

I have worked for many years with groups working for the VB and Russian war Graves in the Baltics , Estonia in particular and it would be great for us to work with the VBGO if you have any plans to go there !
