    Have you had any interest from the Asian community as you re-enact the 4th Ind. Div.?
    Can you post an order of battle for the Division? I can't think what units served in it.Ta.

    5th Indian Infantry Brigade:
    1st Royal Fusiliers
    3rd/1st Punjab Regiment
    4th/6th Rajputana Rifles
    11th Indian Infantry Brigade:
    2nd Queens Own Cameron Highlanders
    1st/6th Rajputana Rifles
    4th/7th Rajput Regiment
    Divisonal Troops:
    Central Indian Horse
    1st Northumberland Fusiliers (Machine Gun Battalion}
    1st, 25 and 31st Field Regiment Royal Artillery
    3rd Royal Horse Artillery
    4th, 12th, 18th and 21st Field Company
    11th Field Park Company
    i cant remeber the essex regiment that was in there , also the list doesnt show the artillary i.e 31st and many other units i.e shikh regiment
    we dont get any intrest from any community , iv wrote to the indian embassy and a shikh tempal but no one is intrested in us , we have made contact with 3 vets ( all british) and one has even recorded a few storys on a tape for us !!! dean

    Thanks for that.
    The Indian soldiers did an excellent job in both World Wars, it's a shame their community here doesn't seem to remember them like we do our forefathers.
    The Asians at my work don't seem to know what Grandad did in the war but the average Brit at least knows something.

    no i dont say many brits do know somthing , none of them know my divisional patchs or " why is he wearing that odd uniform ?? " most people inculing re-enactors have never even seen a pair of KDs before and i get the impression they think im a bit farb , but i have noticed desert veterans tent to talk to me before anyone else :)

    it sounds familar but i will have to refresh my memory. is it not Middlesex Die Hards?

    Memory refreshed!! it comes from the words of the Middlesex Colonel at the battle of Albuere, "Die hard, my men, die hard."

    these chaps are in scotland and we v started doing the odd shows with them in scotland .

    Ah! I thought you meant the regiment! I have never heard of the re-enactment group. I have heard of the Scottish Military Re-enactment group who you see at most major events in scotland.
