Anyone who has looked into these casualties from WWII would have noticed that the ships the individuals were lost whilst serving on do not appear on their commemoration with the CWGC, as do Royal Navy DEMS gunners. As I have been in possession of the Deaths at Sea Register (DASR) covering WWII Merchant Navy casualties for a number of years. I have now managed to complete matching individuals of around 90% of the DEMS Maritime Regt. casualties to the ships they died while serving on from the DASR. If anyone needs an individual looking up, please let me know and I will pass on details.
