Raymond Cartier wrote in his World War II encyclopedia that the death( wounded , captured ) ratio was : Hi Tyrulf, I notice you use the old Black,White & Red flag. (there is no ulterior motive in this question - just curious) Is it the Deutsches Reich or the Norddeutscher Bund as they are both the same? I can see that you have pride in your country with a leaning to the pre WW1 period.

This is very interesting information, do you happen to have the stats to any other ratios (such as the stats in the Pacific Theatre)?
http://www.deutsche-schutzgebiete.de/flaggen.htm after the prussian, austrian - denish war in 1866 Reichskanzler Bismarck took the black - white-red flag as the national flag as a symbol that austria is not a part of the new 2nd german empire ( the austrians they fought with the black -red-yellow ) sorry but I dunno the death ratio in the pacific theatre .
As I mentioned before, I am interested in speaking with Veterans of any military during WWII. I am trying to get a background so I can understand your posts and your point of view. Your viewpoint seems very common in Ukraine, Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia. I am also a collector and am curios about availability of war antiques in Europe.
I don't think the Soviet casualties to German ones were that high. I've seen numbers as low as 1:3. This statistic might also be taking into account non-military personel killed by the Wehrmacht. And for the most part, the European Theater was a walk in the park for the U.S. Statistically speaking, U.S. troops were much more likely to be killed in the Pacific Theater.... not sure of the exact numbers though..
