I am sorry to post this, but I recently heard through a Gallipolitan friend of mine that TonyE (Tony Edwards) of this forum has passed away.

I have no further details, I'm afraid. I only knew Tony through the context of ww2talk, but he was a great authority in his field of small arms and ammunition and he encouraged my own interests in that area. His posts were always calm, scholarly, and to the point. I know I will miss him very much. If anyone here has any further information (where to send cards, etc.) I would be glad to hear it.

    RIP, Tony.

Sad news indeed....I never really had anything to do with Tony on the forum due to having different areas of interests. That said I do remember his posts on the forum regarding members enquiries related to small arms ammunition. I always felt the enquirers questions were answered when Tony had posted.

He was the forums expert on anything small arms related in my opinion.

    RIP mate
