David Flinders & Dwight D Eisenhower

    CROONAERT Ipsissimus

Has anybody ever come across this man (David Flinders, not Dwight D!!!:p ) in anything they've read or researched?

All I know is that he was (probably) an Englishman and went to Cambridge after the war. He was also linked with Eisenhower somehow and Eisenhower gave him a watercolour, by some Parisian artist, of the Butte de Sacre Coeur as a "thankyou" for something. What and why, I don't know!

Apart from this, he's a total mystery to me. Can anyone suggest where I might look to find something out about him?
