I am trying to locate obituaries on two three Danish SOE agents:
Hans Frederik Hansen Born 23rd March 1919
Max Mikkelsen Born 28th December 1911
Adolf Theodoor Larsen Born 9th December 1906
    Can anybody help please?
    Many thanks.

Have you tried Frihedsmuseets modstandsdatabase? If you know if/when they died you can try write to Berlinske Tidende or Politiken both big news papers at the time and today. They migt have it if any was written.

    Hi TijgerB
Many thanks. The only trouble is I don't actually know when they died.

Ian, can't help with their dates of death but you might like to know all three them have SOE personal files at the National Archives.

Hansen's file is still closed and it's possible he is still alive.
The other files are already open to the public.

    TNA references:

HS 9/656/8, Hans Frederik HANSEN - born 23.03.1919 - CLOSED
    HS 9/1032/6, Max Johannes MIKKELSEN - born 28.12.1911 - OPENED IN 2004
    HS 9/891/6, Adolf Theodoor LARSEN - born 09.12.1906 - OPENED IN 2004

    Hi Lee,
Thank you for that. In fact I have a copy of Mikkelsen's file and I just ordered a copy of Larsen's yesterday . Hansen's obituary they will open the file. Actually you are absolutely right. Hansen might still be alive. He would be around 93.I guess he could be in the telephone directory. His last address in 1945 was Landskronagade 63, Copenhagen.
    Much appreciated Lee

I do not know the background for your interest in the 3 of them. But depending on what you want to know I will recommend you get the files from Kew. Also write the Frihedsmuseet. If you know were they were born chances are a family researcher can help you find out if/when they died.

Thanks TijgerB. Your tip on ' Frihedsmuseets modstandsdatabase' was excellent. That is a brilliant website. I have found Larsen and Mikkelsen's dates of death and a reference to Hansen. There is no date of death for him so he might be alive. I have his date of birth but not his place of birth.
    Thanks again TijgerB -great tip!

    Hi TijgerB,
One more thing. Do you happen to know if Norway has a similar database to theFrihedsmuseets modstandsdatabase?
    Thanks
