D.L.I. & 9th Essex in Burton Bradstock

    Apologies as ever if a) this has been linked to before or b) this is the site of a board member I don't know about, but I came across a couple of interesting pages about the soldiers serving in Burton Bradstock in Dorset during the war. The area is completely unfamiliar to me, but there are a couple of galleries of photographs, some audio reminiscences and several anecdotes about individual soldiers: Durham Light Infantry and 9th Essex, it seems - possibly others. Suspect the Essex men were from here:

    The DLI piece is about the 6th Bn Durham Light Infantry, 151st Infantry Brigade, 50th (Northumbrian) Division.
