   I forgot when d-day was so can anybody tell me? all i know it that it was in August 1944

   'The' D-Day was 6th June 1944 (although it was originally going to be the day before). However there were lots of other D-Days during the war, like 'H-Hour' it was a code used to designate an important date, usually the start of a major operation.
