Hi from Canada, I am writing the history of both FZ668, recently acquired by Buffalo Airways and KG330 , already in service and I am looking for names / rank / numbers of men who jumped from KG330 on June 6th 1944. I have the list for FZ668. KG330 was flying with the 512 Squadron and dropped her troops over DZ "V" Thanks ! Benoit

https://scholars.wlu.ca/cgi/viewcon...le.com/&httpsredir=1&article=1709&context=cmh “When I left the aircraft it was pitching,” stated Company Sergeant-Major (CSM) John Kemp. “I was standing in the door,” he explained, “There were 20 of us in the aircraft. I had 19 men behind me pushing. They wanted to get the hell out. The flak was hitting the wings.” I assume that the CSM Kemp above is the same man as Sgt Kemp in post 5 I havent read the whole document so there may be other details TD
I would like to determine if the aircraft they jumped from was preserved or not. Avialogs, There was a Pte Price on CN 298 (271 Squadron out of RAF Down Ampney) who was taken POW. None of his stick mates match the other men you listed so I suspect he is actually Pte. W.L. Price C4559 rather than your man. Sorry I couldn't find that particular group's aircraft but they most likely flew out of Down Ampney in either 48 or 291 Squadron Dakotas. The advance parties of Canadian Paras were from C Coy and left from Harwell in 295 Squadron Albemarles I suspect this photo from the book "Tip of the Spear" by Horn and Wyczynski won't be new to you but may help others tracking down further information Courtesy of the 1 Canadian Parachute Battalion Association Archives. After the jump and exercise in January 1944, members of 5 Platoon, “B” Company pose for a picture. (Front row) Sergeant John Kemp, D.S. Ticknor, W. Pauk, J.J. Melenius; (back row) V.H. Symons, D.A. Currie, E. Makela, W.A. Crowe. Regards ...
Hi Benoit, I noticed your section of men from 5 Platoon B Coy are pretty much all standing together in the B Coy group photo on the Pegasus Archive including Pte. D.T. Price (2nd Row to the right). Their Platoon Commander according to various sources was Lt. Normand Toseland who is seated to the right of Capt. (Major) Griffin. The closest I can get you to a 5 Platoon aircraft is the one that carried Lt. Toseland - CN 294. I put all the aircraft carrying the Canadian Parachute Battalion together in one file. As you can see there is a lot of missing information and I can't guarantee its accuracy. A couple of Mark Zuehlke's books from his Juno Beach series go into detail concerning the activities of B Coy on D-Day and immediately afterwards. I have yet to run across any mention of the men in your section, however, I don't have all the books, etc on the Canadian Paras. Hope that helps.
