My garden is full of dead rodents:

    Phil the guinea pig
    Lil the lunatic rabbit
    Daisy and Joey the hamsters
There is also a Gerbil whose name I forget and who died on Christmas Eve one year and a mouse which the girls never named and so has the epitaph...MKOTG.........Mouse Known Only To God.

Their life aim appears to be dying as efficiently as possible.
    Not unlike hamsters...
    Maybe just us.

In the spirit of the thread.
    A lovely kitten.
    (Sorry, Owen.)

An edible dormouse (not to be confused with the small field dormouse unless you are an owl) looks cuter and if fed on hazelnuts is apparently tastier. A Roman favourite (and of course guinea pigs were unknown to them)

Mainly because although not native to Britain they have for a while been protected under some EU regulation. They have recently been spreading out from Tring at about a mile a year. Can do terrible damage to your electrics etc if they get in the loft. The Romans did introduce them to Britain but after the Legions left they all got eaten (the dormice that is). A number of London eateries are licenced to serve them.
