Just looking that up - there are only 7 British LST losses in 1944, none around the date of the photo. LCT losses for June are undated in British Vessels Lost at Sea 1939-45. The date suggests they may have come to grief in the storm that wrecked Mulberry A.
Dave, I noticed on your Flickr set there are two that are Glider Regiment related. If you decide to post stick them under Airborne to catch the glider guys attention. Great pictures with wonderful detail - thanks! ... Whoops! I see you already did it and I missed it completely.
