    About same time and place as privious aircraft.

    Date 2 8th February 1945

    NA260 was one of two 347 Sqdn Halifaxes lost on this operation. See: NA197.
    Airborne 1857 7Feb45 from Elvington to attack troop and vehicle concentrations in and around Goch. Shot down by a night-fighter, crashing at Asten (Noord-Brabant), 19 km ESE of Eindhoven. Cne Stanislas was thrown clear and landed by parachute into Allied hands. Slt Rognant is buried in Weert (Swartbroek) Churchyard where his Grave Marker shows his death date as 7Mar45. Sgt Bordier is buried on Zeeland in the French Field of Honour at Kapelle. The others who were killed, having been initially buried in Eindhoven (Woensel) General Cemetery, have been returned to France.
