I would be most grateful if anyone can share information regarding Cpl Thirkell, 6143874, who served with 'A' Company, 2nd Parachute Battalion.

I understand that he received the Croix de Guerre following attachment to the Chasseurs d'Afrique in North Africa.

Also, any information on a Captain Wilson with whom he likely served.

I would be interested to find out any more information.

Interesting why he has 2 entries - plus I note his name is Thomas William and not the other way around

    Hi Tony

Can I ask about the source for this info? Is it from casualty lists? It would be greatly appreciated if you can share a copy.
