Cpl NICHOLSON, PATRICK JAMES 4273666, Reconnaissance Corps 50th (4th Bn. The Royal Northumberland Fusiliers) Regt. I know that he died as a POW in Italy having been taken prisoner in N Africa in June '42. I'd guess this was likely during or after the Battle of Gazala, but I'd appreciate any info about his units action during the period, or anything else anyone may have. Thanks John

Hi I found this post doing just a general search for Cpl Nicholson for my family tree, (he was a distant cousin of mine) Here's a photo of his wargrave - in case you don't already have it. Cheers Bernie
Check for a PoW questionnaire at the National Archives. If he completed one it will have the date of capture. Once you know when he was captured you'll know what unit war diary to look in and find out what his unit was doing when he was captured. Cheers Andy
