Hi, I can make out all of the pages on my iPhone except P1 & P3 as posted - they are the same document - and appear to contain details of his active service in 1944. As above can you try and get a better angle image of that page to assist forum members. From the other forms I see he was a volunteer in 1942 who came to the UK in Sept 1943 serving in several Canadian Infantry Reinforcement Units and attended several courses before deployment on active service as shown on the problem image. He returned to Canada in 1945. Steve Y PS I would also amend your topic title to include his name and units - it may attract Canadian members with specific interest in those units named in his papers.
Hi, I've put a message on your second topic inviting members to continue use this one for replying. Sorry can't help with the above post but it appears your relative proceeded on training courses in the highlighted text but I'm afraid the military shorthand is a foreign language to me! If you post your relatives name he may be among the full service records link available online through the below post. I think it is only for dead personnel but i'm not sure. Thank's His Name was Robert Irving Donaldson C75876 I do know he spent lot's of time in Helmsley UK He did befriend a family out that way.. Claridge was the family Name After the war he didn't speak much about his time overseas just a few thing's he did mention. I think he said that he taught judo and did point out a commando camp that was in Scotland on a trip years after. he took everything he had brought back and put in the trash many years later in a fit of anger when Canada gave the Canadian Japanese money for the prison time in Canada. I swear i remember he had a arrow head with Canada and USA on his uniform not a 100% on that because i was very young at the time.
The mention of the arrowhead with Usa Canada on suggests the special service force, the commando unit formed as suggests from the two mentioned countries, they are in a few posts on the forum.
