I am looking for information on Corporal Reginald Humbles of the Wiltshire Regiment 4th bn. He is commemorated on a war memorial in Hindle House Arcola Street Hackney London that I am researching. The information I have so far is: DoD 05/08/1944 Age 26 He is buried in the St Charles De Percy cemetery grave ref II. A. 10. Son of William Henry James Humbles and Blanche Maud Amelia Humbles, husband of R.L. Humbles. The family would have been from the Hackney area. Soldiers buried in the CDP cemetery were involved in the major thrust made from Caumont l'Evente towards Vire, to drive a wedge between the German 7th Army and Panzer Group West. I've looked on 'The Wardrobe' and can't find anything there. If anyone can tell me any more about Reginald I would appreciate it. I would also like a photograph and to make contact with his relatives.
