I checked the diary Michel posted and found this page - it's not very helpful though!

  4. Thanks RosyRedd !

That doc may have been the source for Claude's (martin75) info in the first place, hence the lack of details

Interestingly, the German source as quoted by Claude says "between 0217 and 0231", whereas the Admiralty War Diaries say "between 0218 and 0335". A typo in one of the reps maybe?

    Typos always possible!

This was the page that you linked to Michel.

I checked for all the names of the vessels that Claude listed. Nothing showed up in the search results to show any of them had received any damage. They were mostly linked to earlier dates

I can find no reports of the shelling, which of course doesn't mean that they weren't shelled. This convoy was mostly concerned with the NWly Gale that was blowing throughout the journey.

The damage was probably too small to be mentioned.
In June 1944, two US Libertyships (William L. Marcy and Matthew T. Goldsboro) were hit by shrapnel while crossing the Dover Straits (on 13th june and 25th june) but these episodes are hardly ever mentioned : no loss of life and no great damage probably being the cause .
