Convalescent Hospital in the North of England

    I recently posted a thread in 'Searching For Someone' concerning my late Step-father who was a British POW in Belsen. What I am trying to find out now is the name of the hospital where he was sent to from Belsen. I know it was in the North of England, perhaps the Manchester area. He must have received specialist treament as he weighed only 5 stone when liberated from Belsen. Does anyone know of a hospital that could of dealt with his convalescence?
