Some twelve years ago I recieved a letter, following a request of mine, for dad's service record which gave the main details of his service, dates, locations, next of kin etc. Do you now, recieve photo copies of these records, and would they offer any other personal information that may be of interest?
James Are you talking about army records? If you look at my albums, my dad's service records are on there-these are what you get. They are all photocopies. If you apply again make sure you ask for the FULL records! Well worth the money! Lesley
