In a word no! If I go to make a new post on that thread I can see the new post ! It's there twice now (at least). But it mysteriously dissappears when i then view the thread!!

Just check if you can see it now!

I haven't altered anything just added a few crosses as a mod.

I know it's a Monday but the site is worse than normal!

 

I keep getting told cannot display page. annoying

 

System has been very slow and temperamental this morning. Hard to get to site (page not available) and painfully slow to move around when I am there.

For mods there is a way to check the server load if the site appears to run slow. Login to the admin panel and on the front page just under the Administrator notes box there is a box called "quick administrator links"

In there it will show the server load averages recently, anything under is normal, 1-2 is a high load, 2-3 and it will start to slow the site when over 30 users are on, members or not, above 3 and everyone will feel it.

Which is not too good and why people will be seeing issues.

The forum software is very out of date too, its 2 builds behind current which is not a good idea.

I will try and track down Yusef but he is very quiet at the moment.

 

I don't know why I bother logging in on Mondays - the hassle is getting very annoying.

First working day of the week, it always seems to rain, and site is very slow.

I've seen it higher with no adverse effects. Rather a coincidence that it happens every Monday? Not if spdude's earlier post about server back-ups is still valid.

 

should still be backing up every monday, so that combined with a high visitor numbers may be the problem.
