    Hi All

As you may all of been aware i have not been able to spend as much time helping you lot as i would of liked. The project that i have been working on, which is the Congleton War Memorial Project suddenly snowballed when the Town Council heard what i was doing. From just writing a book on the memorial it has now gone to a total re-build of the memorial and surrounding area, also to include the 300 men of Congleton who were not listed on the memorial that lay their lives down during both World Wars. I have been asked by the town council to research each name which i was going to do for the book anyway, but they want proof that each name that is going on the memorial has a connection to Congleton.

I didn't have their names or know anything about them until going through some research i discovered that the town council back in 1921 when the memorial was erected told the people of the town that only 250 names would be on it and it would be a first come first served basis. I believe i now have a full list of the cemeteries from both World Wars i need help with in getting photos of their graves so if anyone can help please do pm me and i will give you the details of the casualty/casualties i am after.

    Hi All,

I am sorry i have been unable to spend anytime in the forum for the last several months but personnel problems prevented me from coming online and doing anything on my project or in trying to help my friends on here with their projects. However i should be back now as things have now moved on and i am hoping that from after christmas i will be back on here most nights.

I will put up a new list over the next few nights showing what i still need to take my project forward and i will also be putting up a list of the cemeteries that i have completed from all over the world.

I would like to take this chance to wish all my friends and everyone else on here a very merry christmas and a very happy new year.

    Kind regards
    Mike
