    Hi Everyone

I was wondering if anyone could give me the locations please of the following Con(centration?) Depots.

    No. 7
    No. 10
    No. 11 and
    No. 48

They are all mentioned on 6 Para Btns weekly Ordinary Rank Field Returns (AF3009) in December 1944 and January 1945.

I am pretty certain they are in Italy somewhere, probably around Bari and Taranto, as that's where 6 Para Btn was before they went to Greece.

    Thanks as ever.

    Hello again

Much googling later and I have a lead.

It is not "Concentration" as I first thought but "Convalescence".

Still don't know where they are, but at least I now know what I'm looking for.

No. 11 Convalescent Camp was at Barletta. There is an IWM interview with George Richards of the 2 Bn Royal Fusiliers.

My father was taken here in December ‘43 after hospitalisation following the crossing of the Sango.

If you are at the National Archives you may find the answers in WO177.
