    Hi there,
Just trying to do some family tree history, my grandfather was in the CRASC 20 TPT Column from September 1943, but I just wanted to find out a bit more about where he was based, which units he may have supported? When he went to France etc?
I've got a BLA of 09/06/1944 with order details 2521/10947/44

Any information would be much appreciated.

    Thank you
    Steve

hello Steve welcome to the forum.
A few members on the forum copy war diaries at the National archives Kew for a very reasonable price.
So that is another area for you to look at to assist your research.

    regards
    Clive

My research is still under construction and on the major units however can help with the last two units

255 Company (Car) RASC = Control Commission Germany/CRASC 80 Transport Column/General Headquarters Troops – Hattersheim Nr Frankfurt-am-Main to Bad Oeynhausen in Jun 46 then not listed from Jul 46 so probably disbanded

4 x Platoons 36 Company (Army Troops) RASC = CRASC 1 Corps District Troops/Headquarters British Troops 1 Belgium Division area – no location and the last record

If more details turn up will let you know

Best of luck with your research
