    Hi everyone,

My Grandfather (3384875 Harold Gregson) served with the 1st Battalion East Lancashire Regiment from 1932 - 1946. I'm researching his military history and have a couple of questions that I'm hoping someone can answer???

Hi returned from Dunkirk, as a Pte, on the 2nd June 1940. He attended a two week Regimental Police course as an acting Sergeant at 11 Corps Provost Company from 2nd - 16th March 1941.

It looks as though he remained with the battalion as a War Substantive Sergeant (perhaps Police Sergeant?) until 17th Nov 42 when he was posted to 13th Primary Training Centre.

On the 15th Sep1943 he was posted to 307th Holding Battalion before embarking for Jamaica on the 22nd Sep 1943.

He disembarked in Kingston and was posted to the 'Command School Wing'.

He returned UK and was posted to 19th Holding Battalion on the 13th Dec 1945. before moving to the 19th Infantry Training Centre.

On the 25th March 1946 he was posted to 235 German POW camp .

    My questions are:

    1) What was the 'Command School Wing'?
    2) Any information on 13th Primary or 19th Infantry Training Centres
    3) Any info on 235 German POW camp.

I have always assumed that being a Police Sergeant in the Battalion (I believe) and being posted to 235 POW camp, that he was employed in a POW camp in Jamaica? However, not sure what the 'Command School Wing' was???
